This after [F9] set to defaults? I would expect auto setting for default.

[F9] is "Optimized" settings. In my quest to get the TS calibrated, I have previously set the BIOS to "Default" settings, it did change the TS setting to"Auto" and then the calibrator found no devices to play with. I will try it again.

Set the BIOS to "Default" settings by way of the "Exit" menu, "Load default settings" , rebooted twice and here are the results:

morgan@morgan-CF-30Mint19:~$ xinput_calibrator
Error: No calibratable devices found.
morgan@morgan-CF-30Mint19:~$ xinput_calibrator -v
DEBUG: XInputExtension version is 2.3
DEBUG: Skipping virtual master devices and devices without axis valuators.
DEBUG: Skipping device 'Virtual core XTEST pointer' id=4, does not report Absolute events.
DEBUG: Skipping device 'ImPS/2 Generic Wheel Mouse' id=11, does not report Absolute events.
Error: No calibratable devices found.
morgan@morgan-CF-30Mint19:~$

I am seriously thinking that maybe the BIOS update to V3.00L16 will help. This was a government of Alberta unit. Even though it does not have 3 digits on the end of the BIOS version is there a possibility that the BIOS was modified?

[F9] used to be set to defaults. I never read the fine print since. :)

Looks like this Mint doesn't use xorg.conf.d.

So it's either make a directory or use /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/99-yada yada.

In the olden days we used to make a directory...Usually it was Mint.

xinput_calibrator --list

jay@jaymint18 ~ $ xinput_calibrator --list
Device "Fujitsu Component USB Touch Panel" id=10

Do you have a LiveUSB of anything....that's how I test things anymore.

Don't know about the bios.

Keep your stick on the ice. :D (Red Green videos)

I will see what I have.

I just noticed something.

Run xinput_calibrator with no sudo.

Sorry for the late reply. No sudo = no difference. It seems to be the version of Mint I set up in a CF-30Mk3 that is causing the problem. I made a Live USB stick with a snapshot of MX-18 that you uploaded for me . Calibrated the TS no problem, but when I booted back into Mint the same problems were there. I made no changes to the CF-31Mk3 when I went from MX to Mint. So, I am in the process of installing MX-18. Will post on how things went.
