Hey guys, we installed win 8.1 on a CF-31SPLAX1M and now the touch screen wont work at all, and neither will the calibration utility. I've reinstalled what drivers I could, but it hasn't helped. It works in "touch mode" (through the BIOS) but it doesn't register about an inch around the edge of the screen.
If anyone has ran into a similar problem and has a few ideas, I would greatly appreciate it.
Win 8.1 on CF-31SPLAX1M
Re: Win 8.1 on CF-31SPLAX1M
This is a guess but the times I ran into that it was a bios problem. Mind you it was a 30 not a 31 but the wrong bios does that. Also happened this weekend and a reinstall fixed it,again on a 30.
2 CF-30Mk3's, 2 CF-71's, CF-L1, 3 CF-72's, CF-73, CF-74, CF-48, CF-50, CF-51Mk3, 2 CF-19's,7 CF-52's, FZ-A1 and other assorted beaters.
Re: Win 8.1 on CF-31SPLAX1M
I'll give a reimage a shot and post the results, thanks.
*Edit - No dice. I'm thinking the BIOS. Anyone have any other ideas?

There doesn't seem to be any info on w8.1 on the Panasonic site, but there is some on upgrading from W7 to W8 as well as info on clean install of W8. Can't hurt to check it out.

There is always something waiting at the end of the road, if you are not willing to see what it is, you probably shouldn't be out there in the first place.

Re: Win 8.1 on CF-31SPLAX1M
Try installing win8 upgrade over a good working install of win7
Life will beat you into submission.

According to the info in the second link I posted above the CF-31S is supported doing an upgrade from W7.
"Perform an installation (upgrade) with no peripherals connected
Object models: TOUGHBOOK CF-31S, CF-31U and CF-31V series"
