Add a wireless or otherwise printer to Mint 16. (and others)

Not for Windows.

1.- Open your web browser and got to http://localhost:631/ # you are talking to yourself here. (not online)

I'm going to leave this hanging and answer questions if they come up. If your Linux OS has loaded CUPS...this should work. If it does not work you may not be completely updated. Your Linux kernel has access to a buzzilion drivers that are already loaded. Maybe I'll throw a screenshot in.
Mint 13 and 15 have a GUI that does this same thing. [Menu] [printer] Mint 16 may have it blocked...I just haven't found it yet. I was trying to address a package with a new install...I'll look later.

This is all self contained. No downloads required for "common" printers. Start here (the above link) first before going online. CUPS found my wireless Kodak instantly.

Enjoy....and as your system does, don't type the words from # on.....that's where instructions and notes are added.
