I opened the access cover to my Gobi2000 and there are no dip switched. I did find this pic of CF-19/30 dip switches. I would try the "UNPD1" settings.

You could try the Gobi200 software from the Panasonic Canada site.

I hate to be so windy but remember the installer and the drivers need to be in the same directory. On my MK3 they are in the documents directory. Another unit they are added under \util.
You don't have a Gobi listing in \util do you....like for Gobi1000? I've seen that with Gobi2000 in the same directory but different folder.

Good luck,

Jeff

I used software from Panasonic Canada. There was the firmware, 72-VT647-23-Panasonic Gobi 1.1.260.zip and OneClickInternet_Sierra_20101028_v1.9.zip.

Is the SKU the same as the one I posted?

Check in the properties for the hardware ID.

Oh, gotto go. TTYL.
That looks more like it!!!!

That's how my Gobi1000 used to look, weirdly my Gobi1000 listed an NMEA COM port under ports which I would have thought would have given me the GPS feature however I couldn't get it working and was told categorically that the Gobi1000 didn't have the GPS facility.

This is the Screenshot of the Hardware ID from my device manager

I notice that mine appears as a 250E and yours is a 250F yet the SKU's are the same aren't they :S

My dip switches don't look like that, I have WWAN1, WWAN2, and WWAN3 rather than what is pictured there.

I'll have a butchers on the Canadian site in a bit and see if I can find them. Unless someone has a link already?

I do indeed have a Gobi1000 folder under \util

I'll create a Gobi2000 one and drop it in the same folder when I can source the correct drivers from the Canadian site

Here is the email I got from PanCan with the links.

For the Gobi card with the SKU 1100984 you should install the driver first…

http://panasonic.ca/PCS/Drivers/72-VT64 ... .1.260.zip

This package already contains the firmware update 72-VT420-2

Then install the software…

http://panasonic.ca/PCS/Software/OneCli ... 8_v1.9.zip

Here is a link to all the drivers/applications for windows 7

Win7 32bit…

Win7 64bit…

Still struggling with this!!!!!!!!!!

I've tried all 3 dip switch configurations and the drivers as posted above and all I get is the COM port device that gets installed under ports

Is there anything else I can test before I got back to the seller and tell him that the card is faulty

Furthermore, is there anyone on here I can buy a card from that will definitively work?

You made sure you unplugged the unit and took the battery out and held the power button down to drain residual power right???

This has to be done EVERY TIME you change a dip switch or it won't work. I've tested this to be true more than once.

Thanks!

I've not done that Rob, I'll test that today and post my findings

It does worry me that you all seem to have Gobi2000 cards that show as 250E and Mine is a 250D :S
