I got a little surprise in the mail with a TEO LED job done on it. I've been using it to light the yard at night. Not quite ...but it could. :D
There's a little reflection of the LED strips showing at the bottom covered by the tool bar strip when running so you don't notice. The Backlight is turned down to 1/3.
Initially I had a bit of screen flicker since cured by changing ram. Don't know if ram was the cause but haven't seen it since. Teo also suggested running at 1/3 and above. 1/3 is enough.
Update: If backlight is turned all the way down the screen is very visible but has a sort of rolling effect (not a flicker) IOW the light strips like a little more juice. So back to 1/3 (five clicks) and it's great.
This is your basic at-a-boy to Teo and a thank you to the gentlemen responsible for my surprise.

Thank you,

Jeff :salute: :salute: :salute: :salute:

You might want to double check that model number against the one in the BIOS, because when I run that model number through the configurator I get 'no result'! :D

When I become a little less financially insolvent, I am going to try the LED mod on the GUN from you and a couple other units. Hoping it turns out as nice as yours. Time will tell. :)

Jef! I think a regulator will do the job. Next time I will try with a regulator.

Not a big deal unless you want to put the light all the way out. This thing is great.

Jef! As I remember you said power is an issue to your place. If you want to save more juice on your unit with an LED conversion, you can unplug one led strips on the LCD and use only one. That way you can save the LCD for long time. When the first strip depleted, then you can hook up the other one. But the pita is opening the box coz when to be not careful. You can damage the bezel specifically the corner side coz it has plastic lock tab on it.

Ah, I wondered about that.

Will a CF-30MK1 lid work on MK3?

You mean the lid for LCD? Yes! its compatible but you loose the black trim logo. You can change the dog bone logo anytime though.

Yes! with the same ts panel or maybe from MK2 Ts panel and then you have to change the LCD harness from MK3.
