CF-53 16GB Ram Upgrade = Touch Screen not working

Hello all,

I upgraded the ram from 8g to 16g, the touchscreen did not work on half the screen and where it did work, the curser was 2" off from the touch input. Re-installed the original 8gb chip set, touch screen works normal.

Is it not possible to add more memory? or am I missing a step?

Thanks

From one of Teo's (Ohlip) posts...did you set to defaults?
Power pull re-set?
Switch new ram from one connector to the other?
One more. [Menu]start typing calibrate, open calibrate screen, click the re-set box.

This is weird.

Good luck.

Set to defaults refers to resetting the BIOS to the default factory settings. At the Panasonic screen, hit F2 to enter the BIOS. Using the right arrow on the keyboard, navigate across the menu at the top until you get to the last menu item, exit. Hit enter key and then use the down arrow to highlight the 'get defaults' entry. It will ask you to confirm you want to load the default settings, highlight 'yes' and hit enter. Save and exit.

Power pull reset is when you pull the battery and AC adapter, also memory modules and cmos battery in some occasions, cycle the power switch/button a half dozen times to discharge the caps on the system board and then plug in the AC power and boot the unit.

Try 1 stick at a time, in both slots.

Hope this helps.
