Ok so heres an update on this, I successfully ran the recovery disk on another MK3 machine. After the recovery software ran and shut down, I placed the SSD and caddy back in the other machine. Boom BSOD immeadiately or windows displays an error. Is there a different recovery disk for the 2.53 MK3 versus the 2.4?? I also checked RAM is good and caddy and cable connector is good.

Did you change the BIOS setting, on the machine you are having problems with, back to native mode for the hdd/ssd? If the one you used to install W7 onto the ssd was set to native and the other is still in compatible mode, then the unit will blue screen when booting.

Indeed I tried on both settings and I matched the install machine. I'm wondering of it matters that they are different BIOS es as one is a different model MK3?

Should I try booting in safe mode? It hasn't gone through the initial install for The first W7 run though so I'm not sure it will.

Did you reboot win7 on the first machine after the recovery disk was done?..I would do that..Let windows sort everything out and then swap the caddy. You may have better results. Panasonic recovery disks seem to do something with the bios.

I did not I completed the recovery image and then once it shut down I moved the caddy to the new machine. I will backtrack and try this tonight to see if it makes any difference.

It should.. I used an Win7 image for a cf30 on my cf74. 2 or 3 reboots and win 7 sorted it all out. Installed the win7 image while the drive was in the cf30

I've had some luck with that, went from a CF-30 to CF-52 with similar chipset (both w/ Win7 COAs). Might not work from Core to i-series. Is your 52 Mk3 is an i-series, and which version 30 was involved?

Connor ...Check the setting of the drive from the machine If it is IDE or AHCI. If you installed an os from the machine with a setting of IDE and then place it into another machine with setting of AHCI. It will give you an BSOD. It must be at the same setting.
