Hello all
Jim here, a certified Tuff Book
NuBee with a dumb question.
I have a CF18-MK5 that works great and to try to speed things up a bit
I have purchased a Transcend TS64GPSD330 64 GB
pata SDD . Now for the dumb question
The SDD has three options 1: Master, 2: Slave 3: Cable
being new to SDD's most HDD I have installed have a setting
for master, slave, cable and SINGLE. anyone know for sure what the setting for
SINGLE on the Transcend TS64GPSD330-64GB
BTW this forum rocks, Thanks Jim
Replace HDD with SDD in CF 18
Re: Replace HDD with SDD in CF 18
Don't know for sure about the Transcend, but 'Master' would be the setting I would use.

There is always something waiting at the end of the road, if you are not willing to see what it is, you probably shouldn't be out there in the first place.

I've put Transcend in CF-18 and CF-29 with good results. If you're using Win XP, be sure to load CCleaner and go to the lowest tab Tools then check Erase Unused Space (or similar) ;-). Its like TRIM for Win7 and keep the SSD running fast.

Thanks Jim

I don't recall adjusting any jumper out of the box, maybe I didn't notice that. But I'm pretty sure Panasonic laptops need both HD and CD to be set to Master.phido wrote:How did you set the option plug ie master, slave. or cable on the SDD
