Hi all, just saying hi. I've used a CF-30 for several years but didn't know about this forum. I'm looking now for a haz loc rated machine, though I wouldn't be surprised if a FZ-G1 adopts me :).

Anyway, this looks like a good community. Looking forward to hanging out.

Kind regards,
Corey

I know the haz location units where not that much different on the cf29's. You may be able to buy a non haz location cf 30 and add the needed extras.

I have a hazard location CF 18. Besides the stickers I don't really see a difference on the outside. I haven't had it open yet.

They originally came with a leather case.

Also has HDD and battery locks and a different battery.

Here is what the leather case looks like...check it out http://www.toughbooktalk.com/public_dow ... er%20Skin/ . These are hard to find and do not see these on ebay very often. I have one on my CF-30MK2 and no its not for sale :D .

I will have to look at mine again, I don't think it has the different locks on it.

Its to prevent dumb people from taking the battery out in an "Explosive Environment"...
