Has anyone installed Mac OS X on a CF19 Mk1 :violent:
I have someone who wants my CF19 Mk1 but he wants Mac OS so I'm wondering if anyone has tried installing it.
I know it's a terrible thing to do to a toughbook but thought I'd ask.

Software wise it's possible. I don't think any of us have done it personally. At one time I was going to try it and read up on it but I never bought a copy of osx to give it a go.

I seen before others have done it on a 18 and got the touch working, don't know about the front buttons. If he is just really wanting the look he could get a re-skin for windows or Ubuntu and it would work. If you are still going to go forward for it, go buy a copy, then write down a list of the hardware on your pc. Then it will be time to read up on a "hackintosh"

google "macbuntu" and should find a for sale link for e-bay- it will install & find all your hardware and "look like" snow leopard 6.0
It won't be a true hackintosh but works just fine-

As far a re-skins go you can do that for xp and 7 as well.
