Ledco dock

#1 Post by subcaptian »

Hey everyone, I have a question regarding a Ledco vehicle dock, specifically the pass-through antennas. In a model with dual pass through, what antennas are passed through? Cellular and wifi, or cellular or GPS?

It depends on the unit.

What is the full model number on the Toughbook going into it?

Thanks!

Would it be possible to reconfigure it to use WWAN and GPS?

So, is there any way I can run a roof-mounted gps antenna?

I would use a USB GPS.

That's what I did.

Thanks!

Are you just not getting a good enough signal from your standard antenna? I have used my 19 with GPS a few times in the car and haven't had a problem with. Then again I live in Louisiana not Alaska.

As for reception, my problem is that my vehicle is a 1991 F250. A steel box with almost zero reception. I'm a little disappointed that the only all in one antenna is one endorsed by Panasonic that costs over 300! So, I'll keep looking for alternatives, and I'll be open to suggestions anyone might have.
