CF-52 GC Vista sound not working. Any Ideas?

Hello All,

I have just acquired a CF-52. It was shipped with Win7 on it, but the modem did not work, along with a couple of other nags I decided to restore it to Vista as it was shipped with Vista originally. (COA Sticker underneath)

I have downloaded the only driver I can find to try and get the sound working. It says it has installed fine, alas no sound! Not tried modem yet, but I still have an unknown device.

So before I went any further and start to pull my hair out, I messaged Panasonic tech support. Fireguard & Chocolate spring to mind. Yes we can help you, send an order number and return your unit to us!

So my question is, do I bin Vista, go for a fresh install on Win7 and rely on the forum to get me through, or stick with Vista as it works kind of, or roll back to XP.

Many thanks to all in advance.

Richard

This is one of the places the issue is discussed. Use the Vista drivers however...or maybe not. :)
