Windows 7 on a CF-19MK1
Ok just got done. I did not load the video and wifi drivers because W7 loaded the updated one's. As far as I know the only thing that does not work is the screen rotation but will look into that later...getting a little late.

Windows 7 on a CF-19MK1
1 : First thing I did was update the BIOS
http://pc-dl.panasonic.co.jp/dl/downloa ... 070207.exe
http://pc-dl.panasonic.co.jp/dl/downloa ... Manual.pdf
2 : I then put in W7 CD. I have 2 choices, one is install W7 or check compatibility online. I went online and downloaded “ Windows7 Upgrade Advisor “ which will tell you if you 19 will run W7. Everthing passedbut you must use 32 bit.
3 : Now click “ Install Windows 7 “
4 : Nextclick “ Go online to get the latest updates for installation “
5 : Next upgrade (saves files) or custom (clean install – does not save files) I chose custom install.
6 : About 45 minutes later W7 is installed...
7 : Before Iinstalled any drivers I checked the touchscreen to see if it was working and it was. I used the W7 calibration tool tocalibrate the touchscreen (16 points). This can be found in “Tablet PC setting”
8 : Now to install the drivers.
9 : Install order
PanasonicCommon Components
Panasonic Misc Driver
Sound
TouchpadDriver - restart
HotkeyDriver
HotkeyAppendix Application - restart
HotkeySettings Application
Display Rotation Tool Application – restart
Tablet Button Manager Application – restart
TabletButtons Driver
Battery Recalibration Application - restart
Asset Tag Entry Application
DMI Viewer Application
LAN Driver –not supported in W7 – do not install
Loupe Utility Application
Modem Driver
TPM Driver (use updated driver)
Panasonic Notification Application
PCInformation Viewer Application (use updated driver) – restart
SD SecureDLL Driver
HandWriting – restart
Intel(R) ExtendedThermal Model Driver - not supported in W7 – do notinstall
I will update in a couple days. Still a few things I have to work the bugs out of.
Update
Two things I am still working on is the front buttons. This seems to be the problem with the CF-19 and W7. The screen rotate and onscreen keyboard buttons do not work.

Re: Windows 7 on a CF-19MK1
Are you able to change brightness and unmute sound with your mk1?
I have W7 64bit Ultimate on my mk3, using the mk4 64 bit drivers ... I'm having the SAME problem as the CF-30, where if I install Hotkey Appendix I can't change display brightness, but I can unmute the sound. If I uninstall the Appendix, I can adjust the screen brightness but if I use Fn-F4 to mute the sound it becomes permanently muted until I reinstall the Appendix, reboot and unmute.
"New" drivers that supersedes the Panasonic ones, downloaded off Intel:
Intel INF files
Intel Wireless 14.3.0.6
Intel Rapid Storage Technology 10.8.0.1003
Intel 4 Series graphics 15.171.8
Intel Wired Ethernet 16.8

The only thing I am still working on is the front buttons...rotate and keyboard. The brightness and sound worked fine. I got a PM the other night about using the W7 drivers so I will give it another try. My install was 32 bit.canuckcam wrote:Are you able to change brightness and unmute sound with your mk1?
It would be nice to have a guide like we do for the CF-30 MK1 so I am not giving up yet. It does work great if you don't need the rotate or on screen buttons. I will up date later.

Re: Windows 7 on a CF-19MK1
I can not count the times I have reloaded W7 on mine and try a million different things and still can not get them to work. Have you read the thread on NBR. I will see if I can find it.

Re: Windows 7 on a CF-19MK1
I'm in the same boat with a MK2 and the buttons are not cooperating. I installed the Vista drivers in the required order, but they're no doing what they're supposed to do.
CF-30C with standard keyboard and Windows XP.
CF-30K x 2, both running Windows 7.
CF-19F. Windows 7.
It's difficult not to collect these things.

Re: Windows 7 on a CF-19MK1
I gave up on it after a month of working on it. I ended up using my W7 on a 19MK3 instead...less headache.
