The day to day treatment and benefits are much more important and enduring than any once a year bonus or special ordeal.

One other thing I will throw up is I know I hung on too long and kind of stuck now until things pick back up. When I left Saudi I was offered a severance package. I didn't take it, thinking I would bounce back quick. Didn't happen. If I would of took the package then it was close to 150K. I could of payed off the wifes car and my house with over 70 left even after taxes. Now they have cut those packages way down. If I even still got one now it would be around 22 to 28k max. Yep, hanging on too long can be a bad thing.

I probably stayed at the bus garage too long.. I could have made a much better income by moving on.
It was a choice though. As I really enjoyed the driving the children.
