Can someone confirm If the gps on Gobook are using a serial port not a usb(anyway they are both serial) but I need a confirmation coz I'm gonna track down connector for GPS on XR-1 unit since we can't find any schem. of the unit. For ground and power supply are to easy to trace. I'm gonna try trial and error. Its the same technique I used on GPS pinout on Sled board of CF-29 on which I have a great success. I do have one extra unit of XR-1 as a test bed, btw.
That's great...I am going to start all over again. My install did not go so good at all ...some reason I don't even have disk defrag installed. Went into tools and nothing .Wish me luck .
Well I figured out what was wrong with my external cd-rom. I had to use my 52 to help the install I used my 52 to give power to the cd-rom and then the other cable to the 260+ USB and the cd fired right up. Never had to use the power cord on any CF-18 install ...guess the 260+ USB lacks the extra power needed.

Glad to see you got it going, I was getting irritated with it too. I am going on about a hour drive today and taking the ix260+ with me and going to do some in car GPS testing, I will let you know how that goes. I charged it up last night and the battery is working. I let it run about 15 minutes on battery before I plugged it back in. The battery icon says it is still a dead battery and has 0% charge. I will do a calibration on it tonight.
EDIT: Well the first GPS trip didn't work out too well. The battery started showing how much longer it had on it, and right before I left the house I was trying a stress test on it. ( HALO CE my favorite stress test) and it just went dead. The battery count down had been dropping fast so I thought it was just the battery died. Got it in the car and my Lind power supply would't work. Got back home and the charger wouldn't work either. Couldn't even get a light to come on. I pulled the battery and looked it over good. Written on it was "does not charge". I left the battery pulled and tried to turn it on. Everything is back working now. Looks like that battery is trash though. I leave the house again here in 2 hrs to go and pick up my youngest two kids so that will be about a 2 hour round trip to test everything out if it will stay on, lol.
I thought my battery was gone too when I first got it. It would not charge at all. I did the battery cal and now it shows 3.20 hours. Last night I loaded all the drivers, tried to find the GPS and figure it out and programs I use and when I was done the battery was showing 20% left. I got 2 1/2 hours on it so I am more than happy with it. My only beef with it is the USB port lack of power. I am going to get another one tonight
The picture of winfast running, that was with the 260+ sitting on my pool table in the basement of my house, I was surprised it even found any.
