Fingerprint reader mk6

Hello all,
Forgive the dumb question, but do I need to have the fingerprint reader installed before the fingerprint driver will recognize compatibility? I ask b/c I've got a reader, but before the install I wanted to make sure that one of the drivers would work. When I tried to open the one appropriate for the mk6, I got the message "This machine does NOT support." Thanks.

I contacted Bob Johnson and it looks like the fingerprint reader isn't compatible with a MK6.
