My new (to me) CF-31

#1 Post by DaveW67 »

Just picked up my first CF-3110451KM. It came without HDD and 4GB memory and only 70 hours runtime. First thing was a 1 TB SSD and 16 GB RAM. Loaded Windows 7 Ultimate and installed all the drivers from the Panasonic web site. Now I need to load some job specific software and it will be my new field machine.

The only upgrade left would be to add the camera. Is the machine prepped to add the camera module or would I need a whole new lid?

Thanks in advance.

It depends on the kit you find. I managed to get a factory take off kit that came with all the bits. The camera mounts in the right side upper antenna cover. The kit came with that part.

TechTough I believe sells an HD kit with everything needed. I’m thinking their kit required drilling a hole in that antenna cover. I had to do some searching to find the kit….

The job wasn’t memorable, so it was likely pretty easy to do. I seem to remember just taking the back lid off and keeping the screen mounted.
