If your software works with newer OS, there are USB to parallel adapters.
The software is Kalmaker it is MS-DOS based but works through to Windows ME, it doesn't work with NT based Windows. It works with FreeDOS and DOSBox. I have tried adaptors but they don't work even on machines that can run the OS' that work. This is why I love my 29s so much.

So, Rob! You should have had plenty of time to play with it. Is it everything we hoped for? :pbjt:

They are starting to advertise them online now in Australia. They aren't available yet but can be pre-ordered. Only 1 website, not Panasonic, has prices and an i7 machine is approximately AU$7500. I think I'll be waiting a while before I get one.

Missing the forum activity, and appreciating Rob hosting this forum. When my rich uncle dies, I originally planned to buy a ToughBook 40 from Rob. (Unfortunately, my uncles have all died, and none of them left me a thing!!) But I would love dearly to get one of these!!!

Who knows, if I drink heavily enough, it may happen?

When you drink enough a lot happens. Usually not what you want though. LOL.

Some of the new toughbooks I just don't like. Style wise. But this looks like one I would. But It will be awhile before they hit the used market. If I really needed a newer computer I could see about buying one. Just can't justify that right now.

I am back working as a pipefitter. I need to run Autodesk NaviWorks program and I think my 31Mk3 will be lacking in the hardware dept. I can not find a Linux alternative to NaviWorks so I am looking at an upgrade to my laptops. Is the new FZ-40 a good choice or would a tablet be better? PM me with questions and/or details about units. Thanks Rob.
