[F9] is "Optimized" settings. In my quest to get the TS calibrated, I have previously set the BIOS to "Default" settings, it did change the TS setting to"Auto" and then the calibrator found no devices to play with. I will try it again.

Set the BIOS to "Default" settings by way of the "Exit" menu, "Load default settings" , rebooted twice and here are the results:

I am seriously thinking that maybe the BIOS update to V3.00L16 will help. This was a government of Alberta unit. Even though it does not have 3 digits on the end of the BIOS version is there a possibility that the BIOS was modified?

Looks like this Mint doesn't use xorg.conf.d.
So it's either make a directory or use /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/99-yada yada.

Sorry for the late reply. No sudo = no difference. It seems to be the version of Mint I set up in a CF-30Mk3 that is causing the problem. I made a Live USB stick with a snapshot of MX-18 that you uploaded for me . Calibrated the TS no problem, but when I booted back into Mint the same problems were there. I made no changes to the CF-31Mk3 when I went from MX to Mint. So, I am in the process of installing MX-18. Will post on how things went.
