To the Linux devotees: I am just having some fun. Please don't take this offensively. I use Linux live cds all the time to repair and diagnose issues.

ChaletOS IS based on Xubuntu, after all.

First impressions using the CF-52 GUN, SSD, PNY usb stick.
I formatted the usb stick using usb formatter from LMDE2.
Downloaded the ISO Chalet 16.04 64 bit.
Burned the ISO to usb stick with image writer from LMDE2.
Re-booted system, interesting is that the os loads 6 choice menu:
-Live,
-Live acpi = off,
-Live acpi = off lapic = off,
live-enhanced disk drive,
live safe graphics mode,
install
I chose Live and the system loaded, finding my wireless network choices. The numbers lock enabled during re-boot, so you'll have to hit that key once, otherwise you will go nuts trying to put in a password for the wireless network.
The Blue toolbar across the bottom reminds me of Zorin (as above).
I chose the Start Point icon on the desktop, which is where a new Linux user should start with.
The os contains 51 recommended applications, 22 articles, and 30 videos....aimed at letting anyone get used to Linux. The builders seem to promote simplicity and impressive speed (their words).
I'll have to try the 32 bit version on an older machine as Sadlmkr mentioned above.
It's fun to try new distributions. I'm stuck on LMDE 2 and MX14, but that's because I like the Debian variants. They allow me to connect to my company web site using Citrix.
