I never ran Vista and only worked on one machine with it. It was a Japanese machine and belonged to a Japanese female house guest that I needed to put on my Wi-Fi network, so I was so confused by the language and OS differences, I really did not have time to formulate much of an opinion of Vista....but I digress.
It is faster then XP and perhaps even more stable. My CF-29N had 1.280 GB of RAM and I would guess that it a good think. The ReadyBoost feature is interesting and I have 4GB of Class 10 SDHC memory in the OEM SD slot. This seems to make a big difference in the amount of time that my HDD is being accessed and that is worth the $17 that this card set me back by itself!

I will be running benchmarks soon.
The differences in the OS GUI are pretty wide, without my having Vista to transition on and mostly running in Classic Mode I am lost much of the time. I am used to knowing where everything is in XP! It will take a while to get up to speed on Win7, but for the most part I like it.
I do not like the way that Win7 tries to keep me out of internals of the OS, but that is par for the course now-a-days I guess! But overall my little CF-29 is running Win7 like it was intended for it.
