Panasonic has always been the leader in the rugged market, I understand what you are saying but find it hard to believe that they would be so stupid as to not test this... Part of the military testing is to not only beat the hell out of it but also to use it normally NON-STOP for hours and days on end... Of which I assume they would test things like opening and closing the LCD, typing on the keyboard, testing the handle/strap, testing the touchpad NON-STOP, etc etc etc

Ive just look at both my Mk1 and Mk2 and they both have this, the Mk1 is factory black and the "crease" is more noticeable \ visible than it is on the silver Mk2 but they both have them in exactly the same place
