Screen Won't dim

#1 Post by BIGREDGOAT »

Well i received a CF-30 MK3 Monday, Late Christmas gift. It was ordered through Ebay, I ordered it with 4gb Ram, 500gb HD, with emissive backlit keys, GPS and orange in color. Great machine, i have always wanted one. I had them upgrade it to Windows 7. It came with a drivers disc and a windows 7 Disc. The problem i am having is that i can not dim or brighten the screen using FN+F1/F2. any ideas on what i should do? I am not very computer literate, so i am lost here.

If 32bit, download these 3 Hotkey drivers and install them.

In that case, Your best bet is to buy a official recovery disk.

Rob may have one.

I lied, its 64bit. I just got off the phone with the place i bought it from. They told me to delete the Hot Key appendix and that fixed my problem. But now when you change volume or screen brightness the animation doesnt pop up anymore. The place told me that was the only Ill Side effect...

They are right. Same thing happened to me but it really never bothered me.
