he he he! all comes to he who waits. glad to see you got such a great deal. I paid thru the nose for 3 caddys for the cf-51 to complete 3 units and do the upgrade to t7200 cpu. picked up 3 samsung hdd 160gb and some more ddr2 2gb sticks crucial brand got them for 30 each and the hdd for 54 each shipped. but in the meantime while waiting I put one of the samsung hdd in a cf-29 that was going to use for parts, it became a challenge cause swapped screens, KB, wifi and put it back together again, works great. anyway still looking for a deal on a t9300 cpu to see if it will work on the cf-51 core duo. I think it's worth a try, just looking for a good price on the t9300 to see if it will be doable. picked up a cf-29 for 33 bucks that was going to see if I could use wifi parts, but it had good TS and had other parts laying around so I put that one back together, cloned hard drive for the cf-51 with fingerprint reader and got those running from some older hdd had from cf-29's. a seller, finderman has had some reasonable prices on rubber keyboards and touchscreens with complete cases etc. for 75 range that looked good and worked great. check him out. hope to hear from you soon on some more good deals............Driller

You guys are going crazy with expensive cpu upgrades :pat:
Here is the best processer you can install
The rare unlocked G model
With this you can use ThrottleStop and it's OVERCLOCKABLE 2.33-3.16 GHZ :pbjt:

Well its really not for the 51. I am putting the T7600 in my XPS and putting the T7200 from that into my other 51 for my daughter. When I bought the XPS the T7600 was a $775.00 upgrade  ontop of the $3352.00 price tag of it so I passed on it.

None of the processer upgrades were an option for the cf-51

The unlocked G will work ,as it's the right fsb and socket ....just pricy

I put the T7600 2.33 in tonight and it's running great. Got a couple more 51's in today, Core Duo....RIGHT, both ended up to be 1.7  . I got them from 2 different sellers and both of them messed them up. Told me that they did not know there was a difference . One of them told me to keep it and he was sending me the right one :) . I kinda feel guilty because all I did was put a old 60gb hd in it and sold it for $150.00 this evening but the other one I am sending back because its got a broken screen. Hopefully I will get the right ones by mid week. Would like to get them ready for christmas. My daughters have been driving me nuts for one of them, got the T7200 cpu, 2gb memory and the Samsung 160gb hd (2 each) all ready to go. The 2 I am getting cost $55.20 no caddy + $80.00 includes caddy/battery-4 hr/cd/1gb memory
Driller did you ever get a T7500 to work ?

never did get it to work, but did put it in the gutway and upped ram to 4gb and it's quick! sure wish I knew the secret to getting the T7500 to work, but I just don't. Am looking to pick up a T9300 to see if can make it go in the cf-51 CD but if not it may make its way into the gutway. just the same, thanks to Rusty for sending us down this path. It was well worth the effort and learned a lot here. :salute: Rusty :salute: ............Driller

Crap....The cheapest 51 caddy is $79.99 . I have been paying that for the computer with the caddy included. Thats way too much. Teo if you find another cheap caddy PM me and I can get it for you.

cheapest was 49.00 , but that one is from hong kong with no warranty. check sterlingunion on ebay as I've seen them advertise several at a time, they have been pretty good at returning emails in my dealings with them. usually they go for around 79.00 but I think you can haggle with them on multiple units. the last 3 I got were advertised as excellent to new condition but were definitely used, not from sterlingunion though. paid 60.00 each on best offer. looks like all caddys for panny products are pricey and scarce. sure would like to know where they're all going...............Driller

Yah!! all of the caddies for panasonic toughbook are getting high thats why I listed my caddy for cf-30 to high too. Its take it or leave it as this is an spare for future Cf-30. Maybe a unit without a caddy.
