Re: I CAN GET TOUGHPADS!!!!!!!!!!!!

While you still won't find as many apps for the Playbook as you do for the Ipad and Android tablets, ever since they upgraded the OS (and they just released another upgrade), the number of apps available has been steadily increasing. Plus, you have to remember, there are a ton of apps out there that...

Re: I CAN GET TOUGHPADS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just bought a used 64GB Blackberry Playbook and put it in an Otterbox Defender case. I love it not only for how great the resolution is, but also because it is NOT an Android. Sorry folks, but right now Android = Google and Google = Big Brother in too many ways. That's why I use Opera for a browse...

Re: Desktop Build

I have never done a build for gaming, but the unit I am on now is an older Athlon 64 Dual Core 5600+ with 4GB RAM and with Windows 7 it runs great. I have toyed with the idea of upgrading (I built it about four or five years ago), but I really have no need as I am not a gamer.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Just wanted to wish a happy Thanksgiving to everyone that is a member of this forum and to all their families and friends. Though we should never need an excuse, this is the one day in the year you should make an effort to help someone outside your normal circle of friends, especially those that may...

Re: C96 Mauser Pistol

If memory serves correctly, that is the only pistol that you can now legally own here to which you can attach a shoulder stock without making it a short barreled rifle and subject to the ATF stamp/tax. They are getting much harder to find or at least someone willing to sell one. If the price stays r...

Re: Painted Toughbooks

Prep well (sanding and tack rag), prime well (sand each coat) and use a good paint (Krylon or VHT) and it will last quite well. However, none of the paint you use will last as good as powder coating or baked on coatings like Cerakote and Duracoat. Mine are still in good shape, but I tend not to abus...

Dell d630 XFR

I think I mentioned some time back that I had bought an Augmentix 630 ATG in the desert sand colors. I did some swapping around with some Dell d630 XFR parts and changed the processor from a T7100 to a T7700 with 3GB RAM. I have since obtained a true Dell d630 XFR in the grey/black colors and did so...

Re: Dell XFR screen

I have seen this also, but neither of the d630 XFR's or the XT2 XFR have them. In the pictures, it is hard to tell if the bubbles are between the two glass panes in the lcd, or if they are under the screen protector.
