I remove the yellow plastic of the battery, then i remove the two metal strips that are on the battery. I use a screwdriver for this. Then I get a brand new battery (CR2032 i think), put the metal contact on it, and get some plastic adhesive tape to put around it (to prevent false metal contacts). A...

In Europe / Netherlands, i am able to use the antenna with the Vodafone network. I can send and receive SMS with my CF-28 with the Checknet Utility. Concerning the bricked CF-M34... I dont know a working emergency BIOS recovery that works for that machine... I still have it... Only ... bricked....

That link is for the mk2 Pentium 3 400Mhz version. I have a mk2 with a celeron 400Mhz (with SSE). Seems there are TWO mk2 versions. one with a P3 400Mhz and one with a Celeron 400Mhz. Update: concerning the V201!11!12 bios. That is for the Pentium 3 - 400Mhz version. I have a Celeron 400Mhz version with SSE.
After 3 months of searching the net i still did not find the right bios for the Celeron version of the CF-M34 mk2.
