For someone that turns down $600 deals on cf-30's as too high of a price ,to go spend 1K on a laptop you must really like it :) Anyways looked at these before, there are several main dell rugged sellers, one in the UK that sells these barebones and another us based seller that has a ton of new parts...

I bought 8GB Kingston Hyperx ram and an intel 510 SSD 250 GB but (my mistake) the voltage for the SSD is 5V where the cf-31 is 3.5V. I saw on a forum where a guy in Japan had installed the same by cutting two of the pins off, I'm not so sure about doing this since the SSD was expensive - any ideas ...
