Re: WTB caddy for a cf-19
The caddy is different. They swapped from a IDE to SATA drive going in the 18 to the 19. If you have a Mk1-2 CF-19 some of the parts on the 18 will swap over. Less will swap over on a Mk3-8 as the chassis was changed up. Post your model numbers up when you have time.

Re: Screen illumination
Also check your bios setting to see where they are set at. Also see if you have a light sensor. It will auto dim. That can be shut off in the bios as well.

Re: cf 18 mk1 and ssd disk ???????
You have a few options. One is a IDE SSD drive. Or find a IDE to SATA adaper. Most adapters won't fit inside the small CF-18 case. Another option is to get a IDE to M.2 adapter. I haven't tested out some of the newer ones to see how well they work.

Re: cf-30 bios password ?? remove...
IF you send it to be serviced Panasonic's official stance is to replace the motherboard to "remove" the password. If you can still boot from the hard drive you can install windows from another machine and then install that drive in your 30. The older machines you could do some work on the ...

Re: cf30 mk1 backlite keyboard
Three basic keyboards. Standard plastic one. Back lit rubber one (that can be a pain to type on) and the Emissive keyboard that is the plastic backlit one. The rubber one is still the best one for wet and sandy places to keep stuff out. ALSO be aware for CF-18/19 models we have seen copies of the Em...

Re: PANASONIC CF.18 MK1 ? CF18DHB18GT DRIVE?
Sometimes it won't unzip if it thinks it is for the wrong machine. It's a protection that Panasonic put into them. Download and use the free program 7zip. Use that to extract the sound driver from that file then you can install it normally or manually though device manager.

Re: Need some help: How to replace 256 GB with 2 TB on MK5?
Next step is to decide if you just want to back up a image. Then keep or wipe that drive for another project. OR keep it in a enclosure for a portable SSD storage drive.
