Re: GPS Map software?

I tried Google Earth a couple times and never could get GPS to work easily. I didn't put that much time into it as it was for a project at work and it became quickly obvious that it would not suit our needs. I seem to recall Google Earth explicitly stating it did not support GPS for navigation as th...

Re: Windows 10 Technical Preview

I'm working with it on my new CF19. First pass, it is just as annoying as Win 8 about moving things just to move them. Still trying to sort out sound issues, but it is not working in Linux either so I think I may have some hardware issues. EDIT: Turns out it is the long known issue with CF19s and so...

Re: CF-08

I have messed with mine for a bit and they are a bit of a learning curve. I have got the ad-hoc network to work yet but had pretty good luck with remote desktop over the same wireless access point. The key I found was to use a G-only network. If you have a newer N router and leave it in mixed mode, ...

Re: CF 31 Dock and AC adapter compatability

I used an even older version of the CF-27 desktop dock for my CF-30 and it worked fine. Have not had the chance to check a CF-31....yet. :)

Re: confused

I have sold at least 9 CF-52's to mechanics,I'm on one now and it has rolled out of my truck about 4ft to the concrete,no problem. Sold a hinge for one to a guy who tested armored hummers, they were offroad and the 52 flew across and smashed into the pillar with the lid open. Replace hinge and speak...

Re: Non-Panasonic WWAN

That's kind of what I was reading. I was hoping someone would have tried Lenovo specifically, because they are plentiful and at least $40 cheaper. Given my limited time before I leave the country, I may just have to spring for the extra money.

Non-Panasonic WWAN

From other threads, it seems that the CF-52 is not nearly as picky as some of the other Panasonic lines for WWAN cards. I am looking on the Bay at multiple sellers with the Lenovo branded cards for way cheaper. Has anyone tried these? If not any confirmed working suggestions for 4G Verizon cards (no...
