I haven't had a Mk3, but Mk1 and 2 I think has the option to disable. So I thought about disabling the "Touch screen" also, I entered the BIOS v3.01L23, and the only two options under touch screen is tablet mode or auto there is no way to disable it.

Go into BIOS and disable the touchscreen to rule it out. To make sure Also what OS are you using? there should be a option in mouse setting for when a usb mouse is plugged in it disables the onboard until it's unplugged.
