Re: CF-19 Model number + Question

I might just stay away from it, especially after getting a reply from the seller. He said the bios is locked with a password :damnit:

CF-19 Model number + Question

Hey guys, been a while since I've been on here, been busy with work. I found a 19 that I'd like to add to my collection, but the model number is slightly odd. The full model number is CF-19QJREX2M, in the configurator I can find everything but what the Q stands for. Don't know what Mark it is either...

Anyone else watched Toughbook Vs. "Whatever" videos on YouTube?

So I got bored while waiting for my sleep medication to kick in, and I found a video which compared a Toughbook CF-30 to some Motorola laptop, hosted by a British channel. Personally I don't trust these guys on any honest opinion (sorry to any British users on here, my comments are directed at their...

Re: Need help with decoding a CF-U1 model number!

I'm a tinkerer by nature, so I wanted to figure it out before resulting to the manual. It seems like the CF-U1 manual is really short and dry compared to the CF/28/29/30 manuals. So much juicy info...... Anyways, I'm happy to report that my little U1 survived its Windows 7 transplant, and it stays a...

Re: Need help with decoding a CF-U1 model number!

I turned to the all-knowing google, turns out it's Fn-Z. It threw me off because I thought that combo brought up the on-screen keyboard. Darn lack of sleep......

Re: Need help with decoding a CF-U1 model number!

So an update: The CF-U1 is running well on Windows 7 Pro, got everything installed and working except for one thing. Is there anything I need to do to make the keyboard light up? I tried using it in the car last night and the keyboard never lit up.

I finally have it in my hands! I can confirm that the model number is CF-U1GQGXG2M. Has a few scuffs along the bottom, but it powers on, BIOS reports 2940 hours, and oddly seems to have 2 batteries (despite any part of the Fleabay post mentioning more than one battery). I plugged it in, and I saw th...

Re: Need help with decoding a CF-U1 model number!

I think the MK2 is the one I'm getting from USPS at some point, says it's been in Des Moines for the past 28 hours. If it really does have a Gobi in it, I'm definitely excited, it'll save my wallet from more addiction costs. User32, I don't plan on doing anything too hard on it, certainly can't run ...
