Good question. I have dabbled with Linux GPS apps, but never used them to plot any course.
I anticipate someone will show up in this thread suggesting you run some Windows app under Wine.

Re: VPN
For what you are doing, practically any VPN would do. Most of them should support encryption protocols such as L2TP/IPSEC and OpenVPN. If you're not too worried from five-eyes snooping which may have compromised some of these protocols, then you'll be fine. I am partial to OpenVPN for its security a...

Re: Firefox Quantum 57
I just left all my "legacy" add-ons installed/disabled and a few started popping up on their own as they auto-update once they are converted to WebExtensions from the developers.

Re: Firefox Quantum 57
I miss Classic Theme Restorer but Noscript is back (although still a work in progress) and a few other useful things I use for work. So far Quantum works for me.

Re: HDD Heaters with SSD installed
nooob here....but aint SSD drives basically "memory chips"...which work better when colder? I've written about this in the past. To put it simply, cold temperatures make read/writing to the NAND cells slightly slower and cause less bit errors but induce more wear. Hot temps makes read/wri...

Re: Thermal pad replacement. Do it right.
Here we go again. A CF-19 MK4 magically appeared on my lap recently and the bloody thing is running hot. Do I really have to dismantle the thing down to its base elements in order to slap on some fujipoly?

Re: A quest, get the CF-19 front keys working!
That's copy the file "into" not in correct? Yes, into the directory. It was getting late and I'm not on the left coast. ;) Oh and uname -r is used as is? yes? (btw it's 3.16.0-4-686-pae) Yes, `uname -r` with the accent characters before the u and after the r. It's a way to pass the output...
