I honestly don't know and without, a lot of, help it is possibly beyond my skill level. If there is I am happy to work with someone who knows to get it working on my unit.

CF-D1 GPS kit.

Late last year I bought a GPS kit for my CF-D1. Unfortunately for me it won't fit mine because mine doesn't have the correct motherboard. So I am giving it away to whoever wants it, all I ask is that you pay postage. It is the exact same as the one listed here https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/30398897460...

Re: Getting CF-29 MK4 to wake up from suspend state

As a bit of an explanation of how things work with "Linux" I'll compare it to old versions of Windows. From Windows 1 through to Windows ME the operating system (kernel) was MS-DOS. DOS stands for Disk Operating System. It operated the hardware. Windows, the gui was a layer on top of MS-DO...

Re: Getting CF-29 MK4 to wake up from suspend state

I am honoured that you consider me a "top Linux Guru" but regret to inform you that while I do know my way around Linux my main skill is gathering information and then doing the modifications that others have assisted me to find. Linux is primarily a server system that has the desktop gui ...

It's not just 29s, I find in general Linux suspend sucks. It is one of my pet peeves with Linux.

Re: The Toughbook FZ-40 is here!!

The only thing that is missing from it for me is a parallel port, the CF29 was the last unit to have them and I use them for tuning cars. If your software works with newer OS, there are USB to parallel adapters. The software is Kalmaker it is MS-DOS based but works through to Windows ME, it doesn't...
