Re: greetings new to TBT and the Toughbook word

I'm looking at the mint 13 download page and I see Cinnamon, KDE, MATE and Xfce versions both 64 bit and 32 bit as well as no codecs. I know that I need a 32bit ver other then that I have no clue. Any ideas? I use MATE personally, but I think Xfce is a good starting point if you're new to Linux, es...

Yes, same voltage and plug. Current requirements may be higher for newest 19's, but should work.

Re: greetings new to TBT and the Toughbook word

I have a CF-18D as well, running Linux Mint. It's based on Ubuntu, without some of the upgrade drama every six months (seriously, this kills my interest every time I try Ubuntu again). You'll need to start with Mint 13 (that's the latest that supports the 18D's non-PAE processor), or you can go with...

Re: TBT CF-19 Guide

Will a CF-18's power supply work with a CF-19, at least for 19 marks 1-3? Specifically, I have the US AC power supply model "CF-AA1623A M3" for my CF-18. I've been thinking of upgrading to the CF-19, just wondering how much of the old hardware will carry over. Also, does anyone know if the...

Re: Batteries for the IX-300/325

I have no personal experience with them, but I would stay away from batteryrefill.com based on what I've heard. Just do a Google search for: review "batteryrefill.com" You'll find plenty of horror stories regarding their refill service specifically - generally, unresponsive customer servic...

Re: CF-51 Intel Core Duo 1.66GHz to a Intel Core 2 Duo T7500

Indeed - all Core Duo processors come from the "Yonah" family, which is entirely 32-bit. Mobile 64-bit began with the Core 2 Duo, of which "Merom" was the first.

Re: WWAN card options

On a side note, i do have an entire assembly for the wwan antenna if someone is interested in purchasing it. that's the corner, pcb, "hat", antenna, drain tube, and ufl/ufl lead, and ufl/mmcx rt angle lead. Not listing it for sale necessarily, but I see several people possibly needing one...

I keep getting a database error when I try to connect to the forums there.

Is everyone else having the same issue?
