Re: laptop forums down/corrupted ?

At least you can still use -vB4 default for the moment at least. Not that there is anything to see.

Re: bios password

Re: bios password

Teo, Its on the motherboard (main pcb). Looks like you can get at it by removing the bottom cover. Page 28 in the service manual posted elsewhere here.

Re: Apple Tablet rumors come ture!

Feminine products aside, no handwriting recognition? My CF-18 has great HWR and the technology is a fair bit older than that. I can't imagine how many of these are going in the trash from the inevitable drops and bumps. Amazon's Kindle looks a lot tougher than these.

Re: Can I still use digi screen?

trooper, The cheapest I have found digitizer pens is direct from Wacom. The factory original Panasonic pens are identical to the cheap basic Wacom pens. Only buy the "Penabled" pens, the others won't work!

Re: Globalsat BU-353

Blair, The BU-353 is an outstanding piece of equipment! I probably own a dozen or so, I have sold at least 50 and have nothing but good things to say about them. I just sold a CF-28 to my new tugboat captain to use delivering yachts. He has a lot of experience with GPS, and could not believe the col...

Re: OEM GPS

Blair, I've got one in my MK4, its a piece of crap in my opinion. I might try a better antenna but I probably will just use a BU-353 USB. It worked flawlessly on my trip out west last month, and I really don't ever feel the need for internal GPS. $39 or so for the USB and it works with all my Toughb...

Alex,
I wasn't suggesting that the "Fast Filipino Fillet King" from Richmond was wrong, I'm not going there, just that there seems to be more than one number out there.

Re: Mk2/Mk3 - looking for service manuals

For what its worth, the part number I posted was from the Panasonic box which still contains the "plastic sheet" otherwise known as the GPS bump out.
