Yeah.... I always looked for the gromets... If I could squeeze it through one of them... That's great... If not I would drill a hole, run it and use monkey sh!t to seal it.

Load 32bit W7 and get 4GB of matched ram... THEN do Les Tokar's guide...

Again... Max out the RAM and get an SSD and the whole "i" thing is much less important... I can really see no different between the 2.2GHz CF-52 I built my Mom with an SSD and my wife's newer CF-53 with the i5 processor... But then perhaps I am not maxing out the processor in the way they ...

Personally... If your CF-30 is in good shape I would keep it! I was surprised that my CF-31 at 2.53GHz was SOOOO much faster than my CF-30. Perhaps in some instances it is. But day-to-day... I just don't see it for 95% of what I do. Web surfing, web based work stuff, MS Office stuff, Photoshop work,...

Tact... Are you having an issue unpacking the driver or running UPBIOS itself? Either way... If it is the correct file you have... You should be able to "Run As Administrator" and it will install it.

Tact... Just Google "Panasonic Drivers" and go to the PANASONIC site. Use the drop-downs to select BIOS & EC, then your model and click search. You can download it there. Make sure you are plugged into mains power and do not interrupt the process. Your BIOS will be upgraded and set to ...

I have always used PC 5300 or 6400 in the CF-30... 4200 never worked for me either!
