other issue is one will work when undocked--but not in dock-- user bringing in--will look at BIOS to see if its set to passthru gps-- it should NOT be set to that (usually both are set to WWAN)

reimaged one of the "bad" laptops...no fix

keeps repeating (amongst the rest of the data and 99,99,99;s...)

well-- back to square one.... getting some more of these not working tried the GPS viewer- It shows data coming in (lots of 99,99,99,99,99's mixed in there.) it will pop up about 5-10 satellites on the screen for about 1 second, then disappear for about 5 seconds (repeat)-- never gets location, show...

hmmmmm... I like this "down the pants" idea.....I think it would warm up the SSD HD too!!!!

I switched the GPS from "internal" to the sierra wireless/Verizon gps....now its working.

something in the latest windows or java update it killin these things

that wont cause any odd windows/bitlocker issues?
i do have several in front of me of the same model

nooob here....but aint SSD drives basically "memory chips"...which work better when colder?
