Received the replacement, same issue, SSD not seen in the BIOS. If this is a basic hardware compatibility issue, everyone will know not to do what I did when I'm done! Update:
After realizing the SSD wasn't even visible to the PC at the BIOS level I arranged to return it. Hopefully the next one does better.
