Re: Swearing in the church: CF-19 lid protector a-la BHT?
I find the simplest way of protecting my CF-19 is to leave it in the cupboard.

Re: CF-30 Battery Light flashing
If think if we were going down the bad RAM route it still would not explain why the power light fails to illuminate when a good PS is plugged in. CF-30 does same with no RAM and with one known good stick. If I install the HDD and cycle power with battery only, the HDD spins. If I do the same with kn...

Re: CF-30 Battery Light flashing
Hi Shawn, tried that just now. After doing it, using a known good power supply the power "Z" light next to battery light does not illuminate. If I cycle the power on switch the HD light flashes once only (does not flash on subsequent switch cycle) - I will try the power pull thingy a few t...

Re: Panasonic Toughbook newbie CF-30 Problems
I'll just add a few cents worth based on recent observations and what happens during Windows background update. With a new installation of Windows on a Core 2 Duo or CoreDuo the svchost responsible for automatic updates will run one core at 100% as it figures out the myriad of cross referenced updat...

Re: Latitude
I'll agree with the Dell D630 T9300 with the updated LCD panel, it runs Windows 7 very well. I find most machines with a Core 2 Duo that show an "Average CPU Mark" score above 1000 or better on Passmark (http://www.cpubenchmark.net) are fine for all our basic needs. I'm running an E6410 Co...
