HDD limits on a ~2012 machine? Only MBR has a 2TB limit, other than that: go nuts.

Wait a few more months and get yourself a CF-31 Mk5.

All Ivy Bridge and up equipped Toughbooks have USB3 from the Intlel chipset.

99% sure the 19 Mk6, Mk7 and Mk8 also use a 2nd flatcable for the backlight.

Keep in mind though that the Emssive Chiclet Keyboard is not waterproof!

31 Mk3 or Mk4, because Ivy Bridge is much better than Sandy Bridge.

Hell, maybe even get a 31 Mk5 if you can find it really cheap.

You could use the WWAN slot as a USB connector with a mPCIe > USB adapter, that's how I used to do Bluetooth on my own 31.
